Select one of the three membership classes to meet your professional needs.
Membership is extended to individuals holding an active real estate or appraisal license who are actively engaged in the real estate profession, including buying, selling, exchanging, renting or leasing, managing, appraising for others for compensation, building, developing or subdividing real estate, and who maintain or are associated with an established real estate firm in the State of NC or a state contiguous thereto. One of the principals in a real estate firm must be a Designated REALTOR® (primary or secondary) member of DRAR in order for licensees affiliated with the firm to select DRAR as their “primary” Association.
Applicants for REALTOR® membership shall be granted provisional membership immediately upon submission of a completed application form and remittance of applicable association dues and application fee. Provisional members will be considered REALTORS® and shall be granted all of the same privileges and obligations of membership. Failure to complete the orientation program including Code of Ethics within 60 days of the date of application, will result in denial of the membership application or termination of provisional membership.
Upon satisfactory completion of the orientation program and approval by the DRAR Board of Directors, membership in the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® (NCAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the world’s largest professional trade association is granted. The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional as a member of NAR who subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics. Types of Membership and Applications are shown below.
Applicants and Brokers-in-Charge must complete the Application for REALTOR® Membership and submit with all required fees and dues.
REALTORS® who hold primary membership in another association, but would like to take advantage of the many benefits that come with DRAR membership, only pay local dues and any service related fees.
Complete the Application for Secondary REALTOR® Membership and submit with all required fees.
Individuals who, while not engaged in the real estate profession as described for REALTOR® Membership, have interest concerning real estate. If you’re not listing or selling and do not hold an active real estate license, Associate membership is ideal. Associate members have many networking opportunities for promoting their products and services to the REALTOR® community.
Complete the Application for Associate Membership and submit with all required fees.
