How to Join the Triangle Multiple Listing Service

Welcome to The Durham Regional Association of REALTORS® !

One of the benefits of DRAR REALTOR® Membership, (including provisional REALTOR® membership) is access to the Triangle Multiple Listing Service. To participate in the TMLS, you must be associated with a firm that is a member of TMLS. There are two classes which must be taken before access to TMLS will be granted. DRAR staff will assist you in registering for these classes. Please do not call TMLS directly to register for TMLS training.

If you are a DRAR Designated REALTOR®/Broker-In-Charge/Managing Broker of your firm and wish to establish your firm with TMLS, please follow the guidelines for How to Join TMLS as a Participant.

If you are a DRAR REALTOR® member, affiliated with a firm already established on TMLS, and wish to have access, please follow the guidelines for How to Join TMLS as a Subscriber.

TMLS Courses

  • Completion of two TMLS classes is required before you can sign up for access to the Triangle Multiple Listing Service

    1. TMLS Orientation reviews the rules and regulations of the Triangle Multiple Listing Service. This class is generally offered as part of the DRAR New Member Orientation on the first Thursday of each month from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Alternatively, you may wish to register for the TMLS Orientation offered at the TMLS Office in Cary (Directions/Map to Triangle Multiple Listing Service Office), usually on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 1:15pm to 3:00pm.
    2. Tempo Training is a 3-hour computer class where you will learn to use the internet-based Tempo 5 to enter listings, extract information, etc. This class is offered exclusively at the TMLS office in Cary (Directions/Map to Triangle Multiple Listing Service Office) every Wednesday from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

  • Course Schedule is subject to change and space is limited. Check with DRAR staff for course availability.
  • You must register for these classes in advance through DRAR. Do not call TMLS directly.
  • It does not matter the order in which you take the two TMLS classes, but you will not be able to sign up for access to TMLS until you have started your DRAR membership and taken both TMLS classes.
  • Allow yourself plenty of time to arrive at your TMLS on time. If you are late, entry to the class will be denied and your ability to sign up for access will be delayed.
